About the work: Three hard metal bars represent the unyielding demands made by the parties in a war. They lie parallel to each other, like timelines, but they do not cross each other. Each of the parties is fighting their own bloody battles, battles that cost human lives. They do not bow to each other. The red color cannot be mistaken for anything other than blood. The support beam of the three poles has got a lot of blood on it, and it drips onto the piece of soil that is still bright. The dark part is the death and destruction that war brings.

Nikita Solenov
Nikita Solenov is a passionate photo artist, inspired and driven by a deep inner rebellion and a desire to challenge. A rootless upbringing that started in the Soviet Union, youth in a small settlement in Western Norway and work as a photojournalist at home and abroad, has given Nikita a unique and contrasting life experience - something that is reflected in his work.
