About the work: The image of the child's chair leaning against a corner next to the fence is a comment on substance abuse. The tragic fates hanging around the city streets are hard for me to overlook. I clearly see a tired guy who can barely stand up on thin legs with broken knees. The facial expression is tired from suffering. The hair hangs loosely over the face, and remnants of snow lie on the body. It stands in a dark, urban environment and leans alone against the fence. The colors are cold, the mood is hopeless.
