I have a big heart for uniting art and knowledge – especially how creativity can promote health, well-being and quality of life. For me, art is more than expression; it is a means to positively influence our surroundings, create moods and open spaces for reflection, calm and energy.
I am inspired by the fact that art is subjective – it gives me the freedom to create without limitations. I like to create art that both influences and has a function, which is why you will also see my work in the design of jewelry, bags and interiors. Art for me is about the creative process and the power of creating something that is either functional and beautiful – or that contributes to an increased quality of life and a sense of well-being.
Reusing materials is central to my practice – not just as a sustainable choice, but because it's about seeing the potential in what already exists. Like when I restore old frames and give them new life with new motifs, or repair used objects and give them new value and function.
I have a background in interdisciplinary art education with a focus on installation, textiles and sound. I am self-taught in painting, drawing, ceramics and design, and have spent most of my free time throughout my life cultivating creativity. I am a trained special education teacher with a master's degree in behavioral science - and am finally in a position where I can combine professional knowledge with my passion for creativity. It also gives me room to really immerse myself and hone my technical, artistic skills.
After many years where art has been something personal and private, I have now chosen to share what I create with the world. I also want to be able to accept special orders – so that the art can take on a personal meaning and be adapted to you and your surroundings.
