Eilif Stene

Eilif Stene, born in 1960 in Bergen, started photographing with an SLR camera in 1975. He originally had ambitions to become a press photographer, but at the end of the 1970s his interest in sound engineering was awakened, and he has worked professionally in this field since 1981. Despite her interest in sound engineering, Eilif Stene has always continued with photography.

In 2005 he established Eilif Stene Foto, and from 2017 he has divided his time between sound engineering in Creative Technology AS and photography projects. He has his own photo and print studio in Sandviksbodene 65B in Bergen. Eilif Stene has also shared her knowledge and experience through presentations and lectures. He has held such events for photography clubs and has participated in Photocamp, an annual gathering for photographers and photography enthusiasts from all over the country. He has also attended courses and workshops in various countries, including the USA, Iceland, Scotland, Sweden, Finland and Norway. At these events he has had the opportunity to learn from renowned photographers such as Joe McNally, Seth Resnick, JP Caponigro, Ragnar Th. Sigurdsson, Hans Strand and Roger Brendhagen.

Eilif Stene has had several photo exhibitions over the years, a total of 14 exhibitions from 2007 to 2022. His work has been purchased by public agencies, offices, art associations and private collections. This testifies to recognition and interest in his photographic work. Throughout his career, Eilif Stene has balanced sound engineering and photography, and he has achieved success and recognition in both areas. With his knowledge and experience, he has contributed to enriching the photography community through presentations, workshop activities and exhibitions.
