Posters by DAIDDA

It is DAIDDA that supplies posters to the National Museum's official shop and online shop . In addition to the museum's own assortment, we offer over 450 motifs available for print on demand via our online store or Printlab at Grünerløkka in Oslo .
Our posters are printed on mediaJET Litho White Matt , which is considered a photo paper rather than poster paper. The high quality is achieved by DAIDDA's use of archive-resistant pigment-based ink and a completely new technique which ensures that the print retains all the colours, original structures and details from the high-resolution image file provided by the National Museum. The result is art reproductions that are visibly better than traditional CMYK printed posters. CMYK printing is traditionally done for the mass production of posters, but results in the colors being compressed and not compatible with the driver on the printer. This means that you lose the original structures, details and contrasts in the image file.
The posters have been designed by the National Museum and are adapted to standard frame sizes. The motif is adapted with a 1.2 cm white border on the sides and a 3.4 cm white border at the bottom, with visible crediting and logo, according to the National Museum's own design.

 .
Storage
DAIDDA printer on roll when ordering, so that printed copies do not sit on shelves for too long. We acclimatize the paper rolls in the print room for one day before printing and reseal them in the original acid-free protective film and box. Rolled up posters should not remain in the box for longer than three months. When stored in bulk, 30-70% humidity and temperatures between 15-30°C are optimal.

.

Treatment
It is important to avoid fingerprints on the coated side by using clean cotton gloves during processing, both when unpacking, unpacking and framing. We use acid-free tissue paper that covers the entire surface of the paper before packaging in triangular sleeves. We wrap the motif face down against the tissue paper for extra protection, and push the tissue paper that is left over on the sides into the paper roll to hold the paper roll in place.

 .

Framing
The posters and art prints can be delivered fully framed, and can be framed both with and without glass. When using tape on the poster, for example when attaching to a passepartout, acid-free tape from art dealers should be used. Fixing with acid-containing tape and glue should be avoided, as this can lead to yellowing of the paper over time.
