The National Museum x DAIDDA

Are you an art enthusiast who longs to have the works of art you love at home on your wall? Then we have the perfect solution for you - the National Museum x DAIDDA.

The National Museum, with its impressive collection of works of art from different periods and genres, has now made it even easier for you to take the art home. In collaboration with DAIDDA, they offer selected works as art reproductions in their museum shop and on daidda.no. But it does not stop there. At DAIDDA, you can also order an Artprint of almost any work from the National Museum, in exactly the size you want.

The unique collaboration between the National Museum and DAIDDA gives you the opportunity to create your own art gallery at home. Whether you dream of having an iconic painting by Edvard Munch, a magnificent photograph from the early 20th century or an abstract modern artist on your wall, you can now make it a reality.

What makes Artprint by DAIDDA so special?

We take art seriously. Our dedicated print masters ensure that each and every print is of the absolute highest quality. We use art photo papers that are acid-free and free of wood and glue. This means that our prints have a durability of up to 400 years. Yes, you read that right - these pieces can last for generations and can actually be passed down.

When you buy an Artprint by DAIDDA, you can be sure that you are getting a faithful copy of the original work. We use the same technique used in fine art and Giclée reproductions. Giclée is an advanced technique that produces high-quality reproductions of artwork and photographs. This means that all the details and colors are accurately reproduced in your Artprint.

Just look at this Artprint order of Thorvald Hellesen's Balalaika. Artprints bring out the finest, intricate details found in the original work.

What is the difference between Artprints vs. Posters?

Posters by DAIDDA are printed on first-class 230 gram photo paper. With a smooth and soft surface, Litho White Matt gives a feeling of sophistication and quality. The paper has been specially developed to be a perfect medium for valuable and archive-worthy posters, which protect and preserve the artist's heritage. The special inkjet treatment used on this paper, combined with DAIDDA's advanced printing technology and archival-resistant inks, ensures an accurate reproduction of the work's authentic colors, details and sharpness. With Posters by DAIDDA, you choose art reproductions almost like the original work, visibly better than traditional CMYK printed posters.

Nevertheless, posters have some limitations. The paper contains wood and glue, which means that over time it will break down the colors in the print. There is also a visibly flatter structure in the print than on Artprints. Artprints by DAIDDA are printed on high-quality art paper made from 100% cotton. With a matte, soft surface, Moab Entrada Bright gives the work that little something extra. In addition to reproducing colors, details and sharpness perfectly, the paper is also archive-resistant with a shelf life of up to 400 years.

The posters only come in standard sizes, i.e. you cannot specially adapt these to a frame.

Sizes - standard or customized

In our online store, we offer standard sizes that fit in regular frames. We have sizes such as 30x40, 40x50, 50x70, 70x100 and 100x150. These sizes make it easy for you to find a standard frame for your Artprint.

We also offer special customization of the Artprint. We can adapt the frame so that the white border is hidden by the frame, or we can create an equal white border around the entire image.

Our favorite way to frame Artprints is to spray the print with UV spray, where our skilled frame maker sticks the image on a plate and adjusts the frame strip around it. The result is an authentic look that is very similar to the original work, and the image comes without glass to preserve authenticity.

Create your own art gallery and enjoy these beautiful works in your own home. Whether it's a classic masterpiece or a modern treasure, now you can bring art closer to you than ever.
