Printworkshop: Den nye måten å printe på!

Print workshop: Learn our unique printing method!

NEXT WORKSHOP: 24 - 25 August

Perfect colors. Easier than ever.

Join us for an intensive 2-day workshop and learn the groundbreaking new method of printing – developed at Daidda Printlab. The method gives you cleaner and more accurate colors, eliminates misprints, and makes the entire process easier than the traditional setup via Photoshop and Lightroom.

You will also be introduced to the classic print flow with ICC profiles, so you can compare and understand the differences for yourself.

The story behind it – a “mistake” that changed everything

During a busy print job for artist Per Heimly, the print was accidentally printed without a standard ICC setup. To our surprise, Heimly exclaimed:
"I've never seen my photos look so good. Don't stop the printer!"

This was the beginning of what we now call the Heimly Method – a simpler and more precise approach to printing, which we have now been using for over three years. The results surpass anything we have previously achieved with traditional Adobe and ICC-based solutions.

Print directly from mobile - with gallery quality

An added bonus of the Heimly method is that you can now print photos directly from your mobile or tablet – with the same (or better) quality as from your computer. All you need to do is access the photos in the cloud, choose the paper type – and press “print”. No ICC profiles, no complicated settings – and hardly any errors.

This is what you learn

  • Traditional print flow with ICC profiles via Photoshop and Lightroom
  • The Heimly Method – Step by Step
  • Gallery-quality direct mobile and tablet prints
  • Color management, color space, calibration and upscaling
  • How to choose the right art paper for your photos
  • Why you can now ditch sRGB and ICC profiles

For whom?

The course is for artists, photographers, designers, illustrators, draftsmen and anyone who wants to master professional printing - easier and more accurate than before.

The story behind the agreement with the National Museum

During a presentation of our prints for the National Museum, we printed Harald Sohlberg's iconic work Winter Night in Rondane on cotton paper. When representatives from the National Museum saw the print, the reaction was spontaneous:
"We have never seen the colors in this subject so vivid and precise."

It opened the door for a collaboration, and today the museum uses us and our new method for its reproductions.

Hei, kurset dere skal ha 1-2. juni ser veldig interessant ut – men for meg passer datoene dårlig. Planlegges det tilsvarende kurs også etter sommeren?

Inge
