DAIDDA lansering Geassi / Sommer

DAIDDA launch Geassi / Summer

A Celebration of Art and Culture

Today I am excited to share some exciting news with you. DAIDDA.no, an online gallery and print lab with strong Sami roots, has entered into a ground-breaking collaboration with the National Museum in Oslo. This partnership marks an important milestone for us, as we want to make art more accessible to most people, without compromising on quality. We would like to invite you to the official launch on 9 June 2023, which will take place in the Station Master's residence directly in front of the National Museum.

On this special Friday, you will have a unique opportunity to see selected art reproductions in the Station Master's residence. In addition, it will be possible to buy posters and Artprints both in the National Museum's shop and on DAIDDA.no. This evening there will also be free entry to the museum, as well as open outdoor seating and a DJ who will provide an atmospheric atmosphere.

History

Let me tell you a little about DAIDDA's story. It all started when my sister and I decided to renew our father's company and take the business in a new direction, while at the same time wanting to preserve the family legacy and maintain the high level of quality the company has delivered for over 30 years. With strong ties to a Sami artistic family, we have grown up with inspiring role models who have given us a deep motivation to strengthen Sami identity and belonging. Hence the name DAIDDA, which means "art" in Sami.

The committee

In the National Museum's shop in the Station Master's residence, you will find a selection of posters in poster quality. At the same time, DAIDDA.no has an extensive selection with 500 works and 100 different artists. At DAIDDA.no you can order these works of art both as posters in poster quality and as Artprints on high-quality art paper in the desired size under the National Museum category.

The difference between print and print

When it comes to quality, it is important to note the difference between print and print. At DAIDDA, we print with archive-resistant pigment ink to ensure sharpness and durability in museum quality. This results in art reproductions that last a long time and preserve the colors and details of the original artwork. We offer two product lines - posters and Artprints. Posters are a more affordable alternative, but still of good quality, while Artprints are printed on acid-free cotton paper that ensures a durability of up to 400 years. Whichever option you choose, you will experience a significantly better quality compared to traditional CMYK printed posters, which is the common method of poster production.

Launch of the collaboration

The opening of the collaboration will take place on 9 June in the Station Master's residence. The date and place are as follows:

📅 Date: 9 June 🏛️ Place: Station master's residence 📍 Address: Brynjulf Bulls plass 2, 0250 Oslo ⌚ Time: 17:00 - 22:00

Through this collaboration between DAIDDA and the National Museum, we hope to open the doors to art for even more people and create a platform that strengthens artists' work and conveys their stories.

Best regards, Pernille
